[dedicata all'estate passata]

My whole life waiting for the right time
To tell you how I feel.
Know I try to tell you that I need you.
Here I am without you.
I feel so lost but what can I do?
'Cause I know this love seems real
But I don't know how to feel.

We say goodbye in the pouring rain
And I break down as you walk away.
Stay, stay.
'Cause all my life I felt this way
But I could never find the words to say
Stay, stay.

Alright, everything is alright
Since you came along
And before you
I had nowhere to run to
Nothing to hold on to
I came so close to giving it up.
And I wonder if you know
How it feels to let you go?

You say goodbye in the pouring rain
And I break down as you walk away.
Stay, stay.
'Cause all my life I felt this way
But I could never find the words to say
Stay, stay.

So you change your mind
And say you're mine.
Don't leave tonight
Stay.

Say goodbye in the pouring rain
And I break down as you walk away.
Stay, stay.
'Cause all my life I felt this way
But I could never find the words to say
Stay, stay.

Stay with me, stay with me,
Stay with me, stay with me,
Stay, stay, stay, stay with me.

On the floor - elucubrazioni di una notte solitaria

When the lights go down in the city
Getting real low
Settling in my room
I'm unnoticed

When the still comes in through my window
Letting me go
I feel a calm, come over me, on the floor

On the floor
Where the rats all come away clean
They're on the floor
Where the children all stomped and screamed
Straight out the door
Well i find my self on my kness
Begging please

When the lights go down in the city
And everyone goes to their room
Walking the trail
To dreamland

When the lights go down in the city
Something is roaring
I find myself
Waiting to believe

On the floor
Where the mice call shots in the corner, that's where I'll be
When the crickets come home and sign their symphony
When I find myself on my knees
Begging please

On the floor
They've seen the things i've done here on the floor
Where the years have gathered and run that's where I'll be
And I find myself on my knees
Begging please

MAGNIFICAT

Quando passerà questa notte interna, l’universo,
e io, l’anima mia, avrò il mio giorno?
Quando mi desterò dall’essere desto?
Non so. Il sole brilla alto:
impossibile guardarlo.
Le stelle ammiccano fredde:
impossibile contarle.
Il cuore batte estraneo:
impossibile ascoltarlo.
Quando finirà questo dramma senza teatro,
o questo teatro senza dramma,
e potrò tornare a casa?
Dove? Come?
Lui, come Giosuè, farà fermare il sole e io mi sveglierò;
e allora sarà giorno.
Sorridi nel sonno, anima mia!
Sorridi anima mia: sarà giorno!

- Fernando Pessoa
